Ambassador of Armenia to Iraq Hrachya Poladian met with Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Abdulameer al-Hamdani. During the meeting, Ambassador Poladian congratulated Minister al-Hamdani on his appointment, wishing fruitful activity.
The parties touched upon the agenda of cultural cooperation in Armenian-Iraqi bilateral relations, in particular, Ambassador Poladian pointed out the necessity of implementing already existing agreements and provisions during the 2nd session of the Armenian-Iraqi intergovernmental commission. The interlocutors also touched upon the holding of the Armenian and Iraqi cultural days, to which the response of the Iraqi side was highlighted and both sides agreed to take concrete steps towards the implementation of that initiative.
As part of the development of the Armenian-Iraqi cultural sphere, the participation in a number of mutually diverse festivals was also highlighted, which will serve as a new impetus for the progress of bilateral relations. Minister al-Hamdani stressed the possibility of restoring Armenia's participation in the international cultural festival in Babylon.
