Ambassador of Armenia to Iraq Hrachya Poladian met with the Minister of Transport of Iraq Abdullah Luaibi Bahedh

Ambassador of Armenia to Iraq Hrachya Poladian met with the Minister of Transport of Iraq Abdullah Luaibi Bahedh. In the course of the meeting, Ambassador Poladian congratulated Minister Luaibi Bahedh on his appointment, wishing fruitful activity.

The parties touched upon the cooperation agenda in the Armenian-Iraqi bilateral relations, in particular, Ambassador Poladian pointed out the necessity of implementing the agreements and provisions already reached during the 2nd Armenian-Iraqi intergovernmental commission session, attaching importance to the Iranian route, to some Iraqi checkpoints for goods land route, which will give new impetus to the growth of bilateral trade. The parties agreed that in the near future the experts of transport of the two countries will have the opportunity to negotiate in order to develop cooperation in this and other sectors of transport.

In addition, there was underlined an urgent need to open regular direct flights between Yerevan and Baghdad by agreeing to take concrete steps for this initiative.
