Event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of formation of the Armenian Army held in Baghdad

On February 18, an event dedicated to the 25thanniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army was held in Baghdad.

On this occasion, Rev. Fr. Friar Bedros Azarian served a Holy Mass at St. Karapet Church in Baghdad.

The Holy Mass was followed by a festive event held with the participation of Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Iraq Karen Grigoryan, other diplomats and members of the local Armenian community.

Congratulating the attendees, RA Ambassador to Iraq Karen Grigoryan stated that Armenian soldiers are not only defending the borders, but also making their contribution to the ensuring of international peace and increasing the reputation of the Republic of Armenia in the international arena.

The Ambassador also added that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia are highly specialized, disciplined and very dedicated to the homeland and can meet all their objectives.

During the event, the community’s choir, as well as members of community organizations and students of the local Armenian school performed Armenian patriotic songs and recited poems devoted to patriotism.
